About

Born in Co. Galway and raised in Co. Meath, Kate moved to England for third level education and obtained her degree in Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics from Brighton in 1991. She was granted an Enterprise Start-Up Allowance in 1994 and a Northern Ireland Arts Council Award in 2002.  While establishing her studio in Belfast and later Bangor, Co. Down, she also studied bronze foundry practice in Belfast, part time for seven years.  In 2020 Kate completed an MA in Fine Art, at IT Sligo, having relocated to Co. Roscommon in recent years.
